entry procession Bishop Mercer CR was the first native-born Bishop of Matabeleland in what is now Zimbabwe, and subsequently Traditional Anglican Communion Archbishop in Canada. This celebration of the thirtieth anniversary of his consecration was attended by Archbishop Hepworth and several other Bishops of the TAC, by people who had worked with him in Matabeleland, by members of the Community of the Resurrection and of Forward in Faith, as well as by members of the Traditional Anglican Church.

The sermon was preached by Fr. Hugh Keble Prosser, sometime Headmaster of St. Augustine's School, Penhalonga, Zimbabwe. The music included Haydn's Nelson Mass (with orchestra) and the traditional South African Rite was used.
